Character Rigging

 

 

 

 

During my first year as a puppeteer it fell to me to fix the puppets when they broke on the road. That taught me to think about designing armatures based on the movement needed to tell a story. This skill served me well when I got into 3D. The ability to constuct a possible range of movements that serve character and story underlies the art of 3D rigging.
